Monday Men Style: Printed on the back

The printed blazer and jacket trend women have been wearing just isn’t going anywhere, and the trend is being shared by the gentlemen walking besides us.  It’s the modern way to update the spring wardrobe of those men who are comfortable enough with their own sense of style to know that printed outerwear isn’t just for the ladies.   Continue reading “Monday Men Style: Printed on the back” »

Monday Men Style: Man Purse

STREETFSN

For years, men have been giving women grief for our obsession with handbags, purses and clutches we collect.  Why do we need so many?  What are we always carrying them?  How come our handbags are so heavy?  All those questions asked of us for decades, now lookie here, the men are carrying some extra baggage and they don’t have wheels.   Continue reading “Monday Men Style: Man Purse” »

Fashion’s Shoulder Slingers

Fashion Shoulder Slingers

The first time I saw this new look during New York Fashion Week almost two years ago, I loved it but, I said to myself that those ladies obviously don’t live among us daily street-walkers in the city.  To wear an open coat, or jacket over your shoulders without securing it while doing everyday activities on the go are impossible.  Let me list some possible scenarios.

Monday Men Style: Canadian Tuxedo

Denim!  It’s the woven fabric that can be worn all year long.  We wear it when we need to dress down an outfit just a bit. We wear it when we’re too lazy to wear anything else or just because it’s welcomed in more places than a MasterCard.  For the never-ending love of denim I have, my post this week is dedicated to the men who wear the fabric ohh so well in it’s different colors, washes and styles; making the male denim-clad species easily accepted worldwide. Fashion Weeks’ Pavements Revisited.

Tomorrow is the first official day of fashion week for the Fall/Winter 2013 collections and there will be just as much attention paid to the street-style strutters outside the venues throughout the city, as the runway models who will be wearing the latest creations from the designers. The fashion designers presenting in the coming weeks are the reasons we all put the extra effort into looking crazy, sexy and fashionable cool before leaving the house. I’ve been browsing through street-style photographs of the men stomping around during men’s fashion week in Paris for two weeks now.  Scrolling through the photos like a teen cyber-stalking her favorite boy band. Continue reading “Men Style: Fashion Imitation Is The Sincerest…” »

Monday Men Style: Dressing The Header Holder.

The ladies will always find ways to dress up the arms, ears and necks throughout the winter, spring and summer seasons. If it’s not with the use of statement making jewelry, the fabrics are put to work in forms of scarves, over-sized collars and bejeweled turtlenecks during the colder months.  On the other side of the fence, men do the same thing with the exception of bejeweled turtlenecks, or maybe I have yet to see that in person.  The stand-up collars look sexier on a man, and the weight of over-sized neck-pieces can be held up much better by the strength of a man’s neck, but the turtlenecks will always be that piece of garment that looks good covering the necks of both sexes.

Monday Men Style: You Hunk Of A Trendsetter.

The men have started it. roaming the Italian streets glaring, walking with swag, charming those who pass by with smiles all the while dressed in high fashion.  But if you weren’t close enough you would of missed trends this batch of men were serving during Pitto Uomo Fall 2013 tradeshows in Florence. I browsed through the photographs taken by Tommy Ton, and found some good looking men were thinking alike while others were creating trends all by their lonesome. men style stripes

A little bit of stripes can do a body good. Continue reading “Monday Men Style: You Hunk Of A Trendsetter.” »

Monday Men Style: It Takes Two.

Not the typical couple, but partners in street-style crimes.  We so often see those street-style photos, that focuses on the lonely walker, detailing the pieces of that everyday model being photographed, but when there are two people that just so happen to be walking in sync while wearing looks that compliment each other, those would be fashion twinies!  It’s easier to get men unintentionally working together to give us modern day Paul Newman & Robert Redford moments.

Sometimes its the suited couple, sunnies mates, the double blue moments, the soleful pairs… in pairs, and two smiles are better than one.
