March Of The Jacobs

Left, Left, Left, Right Left. Black, Black, Black White Black. For S/S’ 13 an obvious trend is less color, and Marc Jacobs pulled it off with monochrome prints and simple silhouettes. Jacobs also showed us that covering it all up can put you into the sexy-fashionable crowd with straight lines, t-shirts and patent leather boots and flats. A collection that channels the 1960s fashion it-girls of that decade like Twiggy and Edie Sedgwick leading the marching band.

Monday Men Style: Twinsies

Who doesnt want look like their mate, wearing similar head-to-toe outfits walking down the street? Dinner time, the couple that looks alike stays the night! I’m just saying stuff that I would never follow or live by, my gosh imagine my boyfriend rocking a head-wrap during the day, and at night me trying to don a suit with a bow tie. Actually I might out shine him in the suit/bowtie combo since I’ll still have the headtie, red lips and heels! You get where this is going!

I found some street-style photos of good looking men in outfits that were worthy of a sharing-is-caring moment with the ladies, but I looked out for the guys also.

Fashion’s Champagne Dreams Or Beer Money.

It’s been awhile since I’ve shared some stealing or dealing items. So to try and make up for lost time, I’m hitting you guys with the white stuff.

Lately the all-white looks here, plus styling projects focusing on the F/W ’12 season had me looking at tons of garments and accessories with price ranges that can work for those who like paying beer man prices or others who think the finer things in life are worth paying extra for.

Go ahead and fill those champagne flutes up with whatever makes you happy, beer or champagne cause no one will know what it is just by looking the bubbles, the same goes for these must-have items.

Everything But A Dress To A Wedding.

What to wear to a wedding without having to wear a dress? How do you avoid that skirted one-piece without looking casual or not put-together for that special event you’re been invited to? I tackled this question last year with a couple of clients, and now with another season of I Do’s to tackle we are trying to stick out of the crowd in all the right ways.

The Separates Troupe is one my favorites. Getting more bang for your buck is perfect when donning a top and a pair of pants since it allows you to mix and match these pieces for several events and occasions in the future without having the tag “Ms. Repeat” on your Facebook photos.

Another A-Z list for spring, I A. B. C. Don’t think so. Just had to stop myself this time around when I realized the search wasn’t as enjoyable as creating Fall’s A-Z. It felt more like a task this time around, trying to find something for every letter of the alphabet, content, and styling suggestions. Couldn’t take the fun out of my fashion time, so I figured I’ll just start sharing the spring love and the first day of the season was the perfect time to start.

Shoe Wars: Snow White Has The Dwarfs Compete.

The Snow White of 2011 is into more than just eating red apples and being the fairest of them all. Ms. White’s obsession these days are heels, and the descendants of the originals dwarfs are still trying to please the fair skin girl. Every year there is a contest to find the best shoes that would describe each dwarf’s defining characteristic in Snow White’s life.

Let the Seven D contest begin!

Grumpy dwarf winner, Indecorous Tastes, was so grumpy and dangerous all the others had to stay at least 10 feet away to avoid injury.

For the bashful dwarfs, it’s hard to get the shy ones out. Even though the turnout was small, we still managed to have a runner up and a winner!

This contest among these dwarfs lead to a tie. Who could chose one over the other for their dopey walking presence.

When a doc dwarf shows you how to walk on a spine and still look sexy, it’s a keeper for Snow White.

Sleepy Dwarf winner will have Snow White dreaming of galaxies or maybe reaching them with the those high heels.

This contestant had everyone around her sneezing so much, the other weren’t strong enough to make it to the end of the contest. What a way to win.

Happy Dwarfs can take you places the other dwarfs can’t while keeping a big smile on your face.

The Letters Of The Alphabet Have Something To Say About Spring.

About a month ago, I decided to challenge myself by create my own version of The Fashion Book, but mine would focus on my favorite things for the coming seasons of spring/summer 2011. At first it seemed easy enough, since there were several items that started with the letters C, D, F and S in my memory bank. The easy street changed pretty fast when letters G, O,Y and Z stalled me for days. Would of been easy to ask for help from friends, but this project I wanted to do on my own, for as long as it would take. Even though this project took a couple of weeks to find something for each letter in the alphabet, including images, writing tidbits and creating templates, I’m happy that I did it all by my lonesome. Now, let’s see if I can do this again for Fall!
