Two of my favorite collections from day 1 of New York Fashion Week Fall/Winter 2013. BCBG Max Azria and Creatures of the Wind. Rich deep colors, cool prints, kitten heels and so much leather I could smell it through the computer.
The battle for front row seating at fashion show, is it really worth it? I’ve sat in the front row at several fashion shows, and instead of me luxuriating in my prime fashion week real estate, I was to worried about not sitting like a proper lady or reaching out to touch the clothes on the runway while the model was doing her job. Yes I would be the one to not stay seated until the very end of the show.
So I’ve swapped one form of front row seating for another.
Live-streaming gives all of us the good seats at the fashion week shows and once one show is over, we can sit in the comfort of our homes, offices, coffee shops, etc and wait happily for other fashion week presentations to stream on whatever device we have handy at the time.
So enjoy the shows I’ve listed below, just click on the designer’s name to see what they will be dressing us in for the next cold and snowy season this city will see.
It is suppose to be a cold and snowy weekend in New York City and most of us will be avoiding that combo in addition to the horrible public transportation available during the weekends. Therefore, watching all the shows from the comfort of my apartment is like watching my favorite movies all day long. To put the icing on the cake, I will be eating guess what?

The photos tell the story. Not so much the models that walk on the runways during the shows, but the photos of everyone around New York City sharing their fashion week experiences. Today it’s about them, the group of people that helps make fashion week what it is. The street-styles, editors, models, bloggers, photographers, all making the New York Fashion Week wheels turned and being featured on FacesOfNYFW.com. I will share the trends and the amazing photographs from the shows soon enough but for now, you can check out the fashion week shows live right HERE, every day with me, at the same time, continue to stare the photos down like you the people in the photographs if they were in front of you.
I remember, less than two years ago, finding a designer showing his or her collection live to the masses was like finding a rare gem. There were only a handful of brave designers at the time, who took a chance letting everyone see their collections at the same time as the fashion editors who were in attendance. When I say a handful, I mean, like maybe less than 20 designers among the four major fashion cities around the world, live-streamed their fashion shows.
Present day, and we can’t take two steps without a form of mobile technology in our hands and the fashion makers have embraced this in the form of live streaming. Now it brings me to the list of designers you see below.
On every single day of New York Fashion Week during the Fall Winter 12/13 collections, for almost every hour, a designer will be live-steaming their F/W’12 fashion show. They have seen the flashing light, the beauty of Live For All, and how their are some of us who just dislike the waiting games before entering the show, another waiting game just before the show starts, fifteen minutes for the duration of show, then rushing to the next show to do it all over again. Ohh lets not forget that our required footwear during fashion week have to be 3 inches or higher from the morning to the very late hours of the night, because we do love or parties!
On the other hand, for those who don’t live in the major fashion cities, no longer do you have to wait until the fashion editors and photographers share what thoughts and photographs. We can now give our feedback just before, during and after the shows.
Don’t you love some live-streaming in your life!
So to make things easier for you, I’ve found the online destination for each of the shows.
Click on the designer’s name to go straight to their live shows for the next couple of days. I will be updating the page with the remaining dates and times for New York Fashion Week.
