Being a self-taught illustrator, still green by my definition, I have much respect for those others who have taken the same approach to expressing themselves creatively with the use of technology.
Self-taught digital illustrator, George V. Antoniou has managed to take photographs from some of the greatest photographers of our times, Annie Leibovtiz, Richard Avedon, Mert Alas and Marcus Piggot, and created a series of illustrations which are reminiscent to oil paintings and worthy of hanging-status on the walls of some grandeur estates. Mansions need not apply.
Inspired by Alfred Hitchcock’s The Birds, Mr. Antoniou’s shadowy, filmic style illustrations features his muses in replicas of designer gowns, and Cartier jewelry, easily combining illustration, fashion, film, and photography to create timeless pieces of art!
