The Fashion Transformer In Me

It started with a dress that didn’t get enough showoff time, and the rest is fashion transformation history.  Friend Paola Mora, of Lady in Red, White and Fedora, insisted that her new Dolce Vita Britta Dress needed some street-walking time during the chilly Fall days, and my fashion pimpette skills were needed.

I paired this dress with a peplum top, but it could of easily been a fitted sweater, making sure the outfit remained flattering against the body.

I piled the layers on then I zipped them off. Similar zipper detailed tweed coat here & here. Zara peplum top in photos, similar here & here.  Marc by Marc Jacobs booties.

When seasons change on us, they create perfect opportunities to revamp our looks.  Out with the old in with the old.  That wasn’t a typo.  Taking clothes that you’ve own for years or a garment meant for one season, then giving it new life is a fantastic way to save money and all it takes is 1+1 or 1+2.

Summer jumpsuits in solid colors can easily be made to look like pants by adding a button-down shirt, a sweater or blouse that will not show your fashion secret.  Since the neckline of this jumpsuit has ruffles, it’s paired with a semi-lose sweater that doesn’t hug the torso and hides the ruffled neckline underneath.
